- My times are in your hand;
rescue me from the hand of my enemies

We bless you from the house of the Lord. - For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death.
- Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment.
- Make your face shine on your servant;
save me in your steadfast love! - There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?
- Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior.
- And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- They shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts, in the day when I make up my treasured possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him.
- Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!
