- For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
- For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.

- The Lord redeems the soul of His servants,
And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned. - He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.” - For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.

- For I know that my Redeemer lives,
And He shall stand at last on the earth. - For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.
- But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
- There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

- When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.”
- My times are in Your hand;
Deliver me from the hand of my enemies,
And from those who persecute me.
