- A faithful witness does not lie,

but one who sows righteousness gets a sure reward. - He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds. - Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.
- Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.
- The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours out speech,
and night to night reveals knowledge. - Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.
- But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
- And he said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles him. For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”
- But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.
- Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.
- A soft answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger.
