- Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.
- Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out! - God sets the lonely in families,
he leads out the prisoners with singing;
but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. - Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instruction about cleansing rites, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.

but mere talk leads only to poverty. - In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
- Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
- For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.
- A generous person will prosper;
whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. - For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning. - Observe my Sabbaths and have reverence for my sanctuary. I am the Lord.
- Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.
- But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
- I will make them and the places surrounding my hill a blessing. I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing.
- The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love. - Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.
- Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.
