- Therefore, do not allow anyone to pass judgment on you in regard to what you eat or drink, or about the observance of Festivals, New Moons, or Sabbaths. These are only a shadow of what is to come. The reality is Christ.
- Do not assert that the past was better than the present,
for such a statement is not a sign of wisdom. - Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you? If he is not, then you have failed the test.
- But as for you,
the anointing you received from him
remains in you,
and therefore you do not need anyone
to teach you.
This same anointing
teaches you everything
and is true and not false,
so abide in him just as he taught you. - But you, O Lord, are a shield to protect me;
you are my glory and the one who raises my head high. - Nothing gives me greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
- This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God:
every spirit that acknowledges
that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh
is from God,
and every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus
is not from God.
This is the spirit of the Antichrist,
about whose coming you have been told,
and that it is already in the world. - The Lord does not delay in keeping his promise, as some think in terms of delay, but he is patient with you. It is not his wish that any should perish but rather that all should be brought to repentance.
- After he had decided to follow this course of action, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to receive Mary into your home as your wife. For this child has been conceived in her womb through the Holy Spirit.”

The blessing of the wretched was given to me,
and I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy. - So then, faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.
- John’s clothing was made of camel’s hair, with a leather loincloth around his waist, and his food consisted of locusts and wild honey.
- Indeed, the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
- I will walk in complete freedom
because I have sought your commands. - But he answered me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” Hence, I will boast most gladly of my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may dwell within me.
- Therefore, we fasted and prayed to God to grant us a safe journey, and he answered our prayer.
- I will make them and the region surrounding my hill a blessing, and I will send them rain in due season that will be showers of blessing.
- When God saw by their actions that they had turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not inflict upon them the punishment that he had threatened.
- Rather, put on the Lord Jesus Christ and allow no opportunity for the flesh to gratify its sinful desires.
- Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your noble confession of faith in the presence of many witnesses.
- As long as I remained silent,
my body wasted away
as the result of my groaning throughout the day.
