- Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom:
and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
- Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
- But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
- Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
- One thing have I desired of the Lord,
that will I seek after;
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord,
and to enquire in his temple. - Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
- Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man.
- And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
- And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. - These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
- But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
- A talebearer revealeth secrets:
but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter. - When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.
- For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
- And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing.
- Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
- Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
- Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
- Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
- Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
- In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.
- Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
- Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.Next verse!With image
