Anyone (2/4)

  • Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.
  • But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.
  • Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
  • Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the Lord.
    Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord.
  • So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.”
  • Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
  • And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”
  • So we can confidently say,
    “The Lord is my helper;
    I will not fear;
    what can man do to me?”
  • And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
  • Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience.
  • For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”
  • Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.
  • If one turns away his ear from hearing the law,
    even his prayer is an abomination.
  • You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.
  • Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.
  • To make an apt answer is a joy to a man,
    and a word in season, how good it is!
  • The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
  • Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.
  • If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.
  • Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
  • For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
  • Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
  • No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also.
  • You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
  • Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.

Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord!
O Lord, hear my voice!

Random Bible Verse

O God, you are my God;
earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land
where there is no water.
