- Blessed is anyone who endures temptation. Such a one has stood the test and will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

- Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one may fall through such disobedience as theirs.

even one's prayers are an abomination. - The Lord is not slow about his promise, as some think of slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance.
- God abides in those who confess that Jesus is the Son of God, and they abide in God.
- He called the crowd with his disciples, and said to them, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”
- The one who believes and is baptized will be saved; but the one who does not believe will be condemned.
- No one who denies the Son has the Father; everyone who confesses the Son has the Father also.
