- You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
- Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood abide in me, and I in them.
- Lying lips conceal hatred,
and whoever utters slander is a fool. - Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
- Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but must endure God's wrath.
- And without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever would approach him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
- Do not be deceived:
“Bad company ruins good morals.” - Those who withhold kindness from a friend
forsake the fear of the Almighty. - Those who believe in him are not condemned; but those who do not believe are condemned already, because they have not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
- And whoever does not take up the cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
- Welcome those who are weak in faith, but not for the purpose of quarreling over opinions.
- Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
when it is in your power to do it. - The commandment we have from him is this: those who love God must love their brothers and sisters also.
- And said to them, “Whoever welcomes this child in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me; for the least among all of you is the greatest.”
- Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life,
but one who rejects a rebuke goes astray. - Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,
but whoever follows perverse ways will be found out. - Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock.
- Just as the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever eats me will live because of me.
- Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
- There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among mortals by which we must be saved.
- I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand. What my Father has given me is greater than all else, and no one can snatch it out of the Father's hand. The Father and I are one.
- So, if they say to you, ‘Look! He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look! He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
- For if they fall, one will lift up the other; but woe to one who is alone and falls and does not have another to help.
- And let the one who believes in me drink. As the scripture has said, ‘Out of the believer's heart shall flow rivers of living water.’
- When you realize your guilt in any of these, you shall confess the sin that you have committed.
