Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Come to me, all you who are weary and overburdened, and I will give you rest.
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.You are the light of the world. A city built upon a mountain cannot be hidden.
For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer. However, the face of the Lord is set against those who do evil.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.What then? Should we sin because we are not under the Law but under grace? Of course not!
Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.Two are better than one: they earn a far greater reward for their toil.
But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.Jesus replied, “Blessed, rather, are those who hear the word of God and obey it!”
For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.Therefore, by a single offering he has made perfect forever those who are being sanctified.
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.The Spirit himself bears witness with our Spirit that we are children of God.
Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.Blessed are those who observe his statutes and seek him with their whole heart.
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.Indeed, the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.Pleasing words are like a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and affording health to the body.
And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence.God chose those in the world who were lowly and despised, those who count for nothing, to reduce to nothing those who were regarded as worthy, so that no one could boast in the presence of God.
Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.Plans miscarry when counsel is lacking, but they succeed when there are many counselors.
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.This is how everyone will know that you are my disciples: if you love one another.
Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.You have already been cleansed by the word I have spoken to you.
Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.Those of you who seek to be justified by the Law have cut yourselves off from Christ and have fallen away from grace.
But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.For us there is one God, the Father, from whom all things are and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and through whom we exist.
But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.When Jesus heard this, he said, “It is not the healthy who need a physician, but rather those who are sick.”
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.Ever since the creation of the world the invisible attributes of God’s eternal power and divine nature have been clearly understood and perceived through the things he has made. Therefore, the conduct of these people is inexcusable.
It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.The love of the Lord is never exhausted, nor do his deeds of mercy ever come to an end. They are renewed every morning; his faithfulness never ceases.
The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.The whispers of a gossiper are tasty morsels that corrode one’s inner being.
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.Beloved, do not trust every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.No, throughout all these things we are conquerors because of him who loved us.
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?Do you not realize that you are God’s temple, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.For sin is no longer to have any power over you, since you are not under the Law but under grace.
