- As Scripture asserts, “No one who believes in him will be put to shame.”
- Those who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.
- In it the righteousness of God is revealed, beginning in faith and established in faith. As it is written: “The one who is righteous will live through faith.”
- This is how you should pray:
‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.’ - The Lord commanded us to observe all of these statutes and to fear the Lord, our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, even as we are today.
- Hence, as sin’s reign resulted in death, so the grace of God also might reign through righteousness resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- For even the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.
- Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
the people whom he has chosen as his heritage. - Likewise, you who are husbands must show consideration for your wives in your life together. Treat your wife with respect, for even though she is the weaker partner, she is also an equal heir of God’s gift of life. Thus, your prayers will not be hindered in any way.
- And take the helmet of salvation as well as the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- For just as through the disobedience of one man the many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one man the many will be made righteous.
- For to you a thousand years
are like a yesterday that has passed
or one of the watches of the night. - Blessed are you when people hate you and ostracize you, when they insult you and denounce your name as evil on account of the Son of Man.
- The Lord God is my strength;
he makes my feet as swift as those of a deer
and enables me to tread on the heights. - However, if we live in the light
as he himself is in the light,
then we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus his Son
purifies us from all sin. - Thus you could understand that the Lord, your God, was disciplining you, just like a father disciplines his son.
- I reprove and discipline all those whom I love. Therefore, be sincere in your desire to repent.
- Therefore, a Sabbath rest still remains for the people of God, since those who enter into God’s rest also cease from their own labors as God did from his.
- Then you will understand equity and justice
as well as righteousness—every good path. - Peace I leave with you,
my peace I give to you.
Not as the world gives
do I give it to you.
Do not let your hearts be troubled;
be not afraid. - Bear with one another, and forgive one another if anyone has reason to be offended with another. You must forgive just as the Lord has forgiven you.
- Through faith you are all children of God in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves in Christ.
- Just as you do not know the path of the wind
or how the body is formed in a woman’s womb,
so you do not know the work of God,
the Creator of all. - He answered, “Because you have such little faith. Amen, I say to you, if you have faith as tiny as a mustard seed, you will be able to say to this mountain: ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
- I did not hesitate to tell you what was for your benefit as I proclaimed the word to you and taught you publicly as well as from house to house.
