  • And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

  • A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly:
    and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
  • For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.
  • Behold that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion.
  • And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence.
  • But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
  • But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out: For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
  • Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
  • Can a woman forget her sucking child,
    that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb?
    yea, they may forget,
    yet will I not forget thee.
    Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands;
    thy walls are continually before me.
  • Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
  • Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
  • Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not?
    for riches certainly make themselves wings;
    they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.
  • For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
