- Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

- Take with you words
and return to the Lord;
say to him,
“Take away all iniquity;
accept what is good,
and we will pay with bulls
the vows of our lips.” - Do not swerve to the right or to the left;
turn your foot away from evil. - As he came from his mother's womb he shall go again, naked as he came, and shall take nothing for his toil that he may carry away in his hand.
- If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell.
- Do not forsake your friend and your father's friend,
and do not go to your brother's house in the day of your calamity.
Better is a neighbor who is near
than a brother who is far away. - And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
- Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped. And he said, “Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”
- For “Whoever desires to love life
and see good days,
let him keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from speaking deceit;
let him turn away from evil and do good;
let him seek peace and pursue it.” - Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off.
- Be not wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
It will be healing to your flesh
and refreshment to your bones. - So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
- I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
- For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

Pomegranate, palm, and apple,
all the trees of the field are dried up,
and gladness dries up
from the children of man. - Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.
- I have blotted out your transgressions like a cloud
and your sins like mist;
return to me, for I have redeemed you. - Wealth gained hastily will dwindle,
but whoever gathers little by little will increase it. - Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
- Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean;
remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes;
cease to do evil. - But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
- When your eyes light on it, it is gone,
for suddenly it sprouts wings,
flying like an eagle toward heaven. - You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you.
- God, having raised up his servant, sent him to you first, to bless you by turning every one of you from your wickedness.
- Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Remove this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.
- The memory of the righteous is a blessing,
but the name of the wicked will rot. - I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them.
