- Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
- A soft answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger. - Nevertheless I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.
- Put away from you crooked speech,
and put devious talk far from you. - And the world and its desire are passing away, but those who do the will of God live forever.
- While I kept silence, my body wasted away
through my groaning all day long. - And now why do you delay? Get up, be baptized, and have your sins washed away, calling on his name.
- Get wisdom; get insight: do not forget, nor turn away
from the words of my mouth. - Give to everyone who begs from you; and if anyone takes away your goods, do not ask for them again.
- He said, “Then put away the foreign gods that are among you, and incline your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”
- You shall worship the Lord your God, and I will bless your bread and your water; and I will take sickness away from among you.
- You who want to be justified by the law have cut yourselves off from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.
- So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!
- Banish anxiety from your mind, and put away pain from your body; for youth and the dawn of life are vanity.
- For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him.
- Take care, brothers and sisters, that none of you may have an evil, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.
- Do not swerve to the right or to the left;
turn your foot away from evil. - For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not one letter, not one stroke of a letter, will pass from the law until all is accomplished.
- I have swept away your transgressions like a cloud,
and your sins like mist;
return to me, for I have redeemed you. - As they came from their mother's womb, so they shall go again, naked as they came; they shall take nothing for their toil, which they may carry away with their hands.
- If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
- Take words with you
and return to the Lord;
say to him,
“Take away all guilt;
accept that which is good,
and we will offer
the fruit of our lips.” - The vine withers,
the fig tree droops.
Pomegranate, palm, and apple—
all the trees of the field are dried up;
surely, joy withers away
among the people. - If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away; it is better for you to lose one of your members than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
- Do not forsake your friend or the friend of your parent;
do not go to the house of your kindred in the day of your calamity.
Better is a neighbor who is nearby
than kindred who are far away.
When one will not listen to the law,
even one's prayers are an abomination.But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for see—I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people.”
