- Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God. - Be joyful in your hope. Be patient in times of affliction. Persevere in prayer.
- Hence, be imitators of God, as beloved children.
- The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore, the child to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God.”
- Finally, all of you should be united in spirit, sympathetic, filled with love for one another, compassionate, and humble.
- Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. The measure that you use for others will be used to measure you.
- Be strong and courageous in your hearts,
all you who place your hope in the Lord. - As Scripture asserts, “No one who believes in him will be put to shame.”
- Therefore, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops.
- To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Not as the world gives
do I give it to you.
Do not let your hearts be troubled;
be not afraid. - You are the light of the world. A city built upon a mountain cannot be hidden.
- Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified of them, for the Lord, your God, is going forth with you. He will never leave you or abandon you.
- Just as in Adam all die, so all will be brought to life in Christ.
- Let your kindness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.
- And I heard a loud voice proclaim from the throne:
“Behold, God’s dwelling is with mankind;
he will dwell with them.
They will be his people,
and he will be their God,
God-with-them.
He will wipe every tear from their eyes,
and there will no longer be death.
Neither will there be any mourning or crying or pain,
for the old order has passed away.” - One person may consider one day to be more sacred than another, while another may judge all days to be alike. Let everyone be convinced in his own beliefs.
- A man’s attraction is his kindness;
it is far better to be poor than to be a liar. - Restore us, O Lord of hosts;
let your face shine upon us,
and we will be saved. - I reprove and discipline all those whom I love. Therefore, be sincere in your desire to repent.
- Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
- And the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I wish to make another creature who will be like him.”
- Although the mountains may be shaken
and the hills may totter,
my steadfast love will not depart from you,
and my covenant of peace will never be shaken,
says the Lord who has compassion on you. - So we must not fall asleep as the others do, but we must stay alert and sober.
- Do not be conformed to the world, but be transformed by the renewal of your minds, so that you will be able to discern the will of God and to know what is good and acceptable and perfect.
