And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life. | For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. |

Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.” | Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. |
God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied. | Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. |
I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. | Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. |
What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? | What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? |
You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected. | Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. |
I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. | I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. |
The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers. | But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. |
He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Remember what he told you back in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again on the third day. | He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. |
They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.” | And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. |
Turn us again to yourself, O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved. | Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. |
Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. | Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. |
Loyalty makes a person attractive. It is better to be poor than dishonest. | The desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a liar. |
But the Lord will redeem those who serve him. No one who takes refuge in him will be condemned. | The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate. |
O Lord, I have come to you for protection; don’t let me be disgraced. Save me, for you do what is right. | In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. |
May God give you more and more mercy, peace, and love. | Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied. |
When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. | When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. |
But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats. | But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled. |
May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us or abandon us. | The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us. |
Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth. | Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. |
Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. | Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. |
But the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.” | And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. |
Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised. | Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. |
