| Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me. | But God is my helper. The Lord keeps me alive! |

| Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! | This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! |

| Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. | All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! | Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before! | Then what will you think if you see the Son of Man ascend to heaven again? |
| One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. | The one thing I ask of the Lord— the thing I seek most— is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord’s perfections and meditating in his Temple. |
| Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. | Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began! |
| I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. | Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. |
