- By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.

but the righteous shall live by his faith. - So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
- And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
- By insolence comes nothing but strife,
but with those who take advice is wisdom. - Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.
- But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
- And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
- And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
- Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
- For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”
- So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
- Surely he has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken,
smitten by God, and afflicted. - This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone.
- Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness:
He was manifested in the flesh,
vindicated by the Spirit,
seen by angels,
proclaimed among the nations,
believed on in the world,
taken up in glory. - For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
- I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.
- For all who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.
