- By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.
- The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord,
And He delights in his way. - Behold the proud,
His soul is not upright in him;
But the just shall live by his faith. - Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
- Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry.
- That I may come to you with joy by the will of God, and may be refreshed together with you.
- By pride comes nothing but strife,
But with the well-advised is wisdom. - So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.
- Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.
- Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
- Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit.
- Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
- For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
- This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’
- Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted. - For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
- For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
- Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
- For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law.
- I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
- But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
- By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.
- Who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
- But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.
