- Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise!
No one can measure his greatness. - Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
- Enjoy prosperity while you can,
but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God.
Remember that nothing is certain in this life. - Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?
- So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.
- I thirst for God, the living God.
When can I go and stand before him? - You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.
- You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father.
- I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.
- That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.
- Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.
- Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.
- Fathers can give their sons an inheritance of houses and wealth,
but only the Lord can give an understanding wife. - The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
- For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
- If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?
- We can make our plans,
but the Lord determines our steps. - Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.”
- No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit.
- You can make many plans,
but the Lord’s purpose will prevail. - If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.
- Giving a gift can open doors;
it gives access to important people! - Seek the Lord while you can find him.
Call on him now while he is near. - You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.
- For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are.
