This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the Antichrist, about whose coming you have been told, and that it is already in the world. 1 John 4:2-3	By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. Make sure that no one pays back evil for evil. Rather, always aim to achieve what is best for each other and for everyone. 1 Thessalonians 5:15	See that none of you repays evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to all. blameless righteousness evil

Beloved, do not trust every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. Therefore, do not allow anyone to pass judgment on you in regard to what you eat or drink, or about the observance of Festivals, New Moons, or Sabbaths. These are only a shadow of what is to come. We have come to know and to believe in the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16	So we have known and believe the love that God has for us. Trust wholeheartedly in the Lord rather than relying on your own intelligence. In everything you do, acknowledge him, and he will see that your paths are straight.
