- O taste and see that the Lord is good;
happy are those who take refuge in him. - Arise, shine; for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. - My soul thirsts for God,
for the living God.
When shall I come and behold
the face of God? - Then when you call upon me and come and pray to me, I will hear you.
- But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for he has been raised, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.”
- Remember your creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come, and the years draw near when you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”.
- And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
- Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
- Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my thoughts.
See if there is any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. - Pursue peace with everyone, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
- For
“Those who desire life
and desire to see good days,
let them keep their tongues from evil
and their lips from speaking deceit;
let them turn away from evil and do good;
let them seek peace and pursue it.” - O come, let us worship and bow down,
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! - Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?
- But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
- Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
- Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets; I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.
- Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them? says the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? says the Lord.
- Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?”
- Cure the sick who are there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
- So that by God's will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company.
- The clever see danger and hide;
but the simple go on, and suffer for it. - See that none of you repays evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to all.
- Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
- For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. - I am the gate. Whoever enters by me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture.
Jesus answered him, “Those who love me will keep my word, and my Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for see—I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people.” It is the Lord who goes before you.
