| His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. | See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. | See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him. |
| For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done. | For the Son of Man will come with his angels in the glory of his Father and will judge all people according to their deeds. |
| Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” | Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” |
| Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. | Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. |
