Come (4/4)

And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.You might say to yourself, “How can we know that the Lord did not speak the message?” If what the prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord is not true and it does not happen, then the message was not proclaimed by the Lord. The prophet has spoken presumptuously, you should not fear him.
For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.
For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For since death came into the world through a man, the resurrection of the dead has also come through a man.
Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.In the same way, the Son of Man did not come to be served but rather to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.Come to your senses and sin no more. For some of you have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.Amen, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be accomplished for him.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. For all have sinned and thereby are deprived of the glory of God, and all are justified by the gift of his grace that is given freely through the redemption in Christ Jesus.
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. Then Jesus said to him, “You have come to believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe.”
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. From that day forward Jesus began to proclaim the message: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is close at hand.”
The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. The hope of the righteous brings them joy, but the expectations of the wicked are frustrated.
It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The love of the Lord is never exhausted, nor do his deeds of mercy ever come to an end. They are renewed every morning; his faithfulness never ceases.
He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. He who guards his mouth makes his life secure, but one who talks excessively ensures his own downfall.
For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end.For we will become partners with Christ only if we maintain firmly until the end the confidence we originally had.
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.Let no foul word ever pass your lips. Say only what is useful for edification, so that your words may benefit your listeners.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.Consequently, anyone united to Christ is a new creation. The old order has passed away. Behold, all has become new.
And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth. If you heed the voice of the Lord, your God, and you carefully observe all of the commandments that I have given you today, then the Lord, your God, will lift you up above all the other nations upon the earth.
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.However, whoever lives by the truth comes to the light so that it may be clearly seen that his deeds have been done in God.
In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him. When things are going well, be grateful for your blessings, and in times of adversity consider this: God has made both of them, so that we cannot predict with confidence what the future holds.
Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles. But I have had help from God to this very day, and I stand here and testify to both the lowly and the great. I assert nothing more than what the Prophets and Moses said would occur: that the Christ must suffer, and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light to the people and to the Gentiles.
Again, I considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. This is also vanity and vexation of spirit. Then I came to realize that all toil and skill in work derive from one person’s envy of another. This also is vanity and a chase after the wind.
A fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes. The lips of a fool cause strife, and his mouth provokes a flogging.
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.We have come to know and to believe in the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. My soul longs for you throughout the night, and my spirit within me seeks your presence. For when your judgments are revealed to the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn to practice justice.
For thus saith the Lord unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live. For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel: If you seek me, you will survive.
