Chinese (traditional)- And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
- For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
- For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
- Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
- Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
- For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
- For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
- Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
- From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
- The hope of the righteous shall be gladness:
but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. - It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed,
because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning:
great is thy faithfulness. - He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life:
but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. - For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end.
- Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
- Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
- And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth.
- But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
- In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.
- Preserve me, O God:
for in thee do I put my trust. - Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.
- Again, I considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. This is also vanity and vexation of spirit.
- A fool's lips enter into contention,
and his mouth calleth for strokes. - And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
- With my soul have I desired thee in the night;
yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early:
for when thy judgments are in the earth,
the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. - For thus saith the Lord unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live.
A fool despiseth his father's instruction:
but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.Next verse! With image
