| And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life. | And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. | Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf. | Consequently he is able for all time to save those who approach God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. |
| Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, “Life is not pleasant anymore.” | Remember your creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come, and the years draw near when you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”. |
| The hopes of the godly result in happiness, but the expectations of the wicked come to nothing. | The hope of the righteous ends in gladness, but the expectation of the wicked comes to nothing. |
| But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. | Then everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. |
