Bible Verses about 'Do not'
- Don’t say, “Why were the former days better than these?” For you do not ask wisely about this.
- Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects.
Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty. - “If you will not listen, and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to my name,” says Yahweh of Armies, “then I will send the curse on you, and I will curse your blessings. Indeed, I have cursed them already, because you do not take it to heart.”
- Yahweh is on my side. I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me? - Also, do not present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
- Don’t judge, so that you won’t be judged.
- So then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober.
- If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
- To him therefore who knows to do good and doesn’t do it, to him it is sin.

and you won’t be judged.
Don’t condemn,
and you won’t be condemned.
Set free,
and you will be set free. - So that with good courage we say,
“The Lord is my helper. I will not fear.
What can man do to me?” - In God, I praise his word.
In God, I put my trust.
I will not be afraid.
What can flesh do to me? - God is not a man, that he should lie,
nor a son of man, that he should repent.
Has he said, and he won’t do it?
Or has he spoken, and he won’t make it good? - He will not allow your foot to be moved.
He who keeps you will not slumber. - “Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil.
- Whether therefore you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
- ‘You shall not murder.’ ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ ‘You shall not steal.’ ‘You shall not offer false testimony.’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’ And, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
- He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love.
- Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil.
- Don’t withhold good from those to whom it is due,
when it is in the power of your hand to do it. - For we walk by faith, not by sight.
- Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
- You lust, and don’t have. You murder and covet, and can’t obtain. You fight and make war. You don’t have, because you don’t ask.
- Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
- But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known.
- For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up.
- Not to us, Yahweh, not to us,
but to your name give glory,
for your loving kindness, and for your truth’s sake. - Let all that you do be done in love.
- Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
- Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father.
- For God is not unrighteous, so as to forget your work and the labor of love which you showed toward his name, in that you served the saints, and still do serve them.
- I will hurry, and not delay,
to obey your commandments. - I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you.
- “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are profitable. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things build up.
- Yahweh himself is who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged.
- The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger,
but those who seek Yahweh shall not lack any good thing. - Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him.
- What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn’t have known sin except through the law. For I wouldn’t have known coveting unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”
- He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only born Son of God.
- Don’t think that I came to send peace on the earth. I didn’t come to send peace, but a sword.
- Depart from evil, and do good.
Seek peace, and pursue it. - Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you told this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it would be done.”
- Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
- For sin will not have dominion over you, for you are not under law, but under grace.
- Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
- Bless those who persecute you; bless, and don’t curse.
- Arise, Yahweh!
God, lift up your hand!
Don’t forget the helpless. - Don’t weary yourself to be rich.
In your wisdom, show restraint. - He who doesn’t take his cross and follow after me isn’t worthy of me.
