Bible Verses about 'Do not'
- Do not judge, so that you in turn may not be judged.

You place your trust in God.

and cease even to think about it. - Do not be afraid or dismayed, the Lord will go before you; he will not fail or forsake you.
- Observe your father’s command, my son,
and do not reject your mother’s teaching. - Do not withhold kindness from anyone to whom it is due
when it is in your power to grant it. - Welcome anyone whose faith is weak, but do not get into arguments about doubts.
- Do not make gods from silver or from gold instead of me. You will not make them for yourselves.
- Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace but a sword.
- Blessed is the man whom God reproves.
Therefore, do not reject the discipline of the Almighty. - Do not assert that the past was better than the present,
for such a statement is not a sign of wisdom. - When Jesus heard this, he said, “Do not be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be saved.”
- Although we are human beings, we do not engage in battle according to human standards.

or what is in the world.
If anyone does love the world,
the love of the Father is not in him. - Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill them.

Not as the world gives
do I give it to you.
Do not let your hearts be troubled;
be not afraid. - Let us never grow weary in doing what is right, for if we do not give up, we will reap our harvest in due time.
- Why do you take note of the splinter in your brother’s eye but do not notice the wooden plank in your own eye?
- And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God who has marked you with his seal for the day of redemption.
- O Lord, do not withhold your mercy from me;
may your kindness and your truth keep me safe forever. - As servants of God, behave as free people, but do not use your freedom as a means to cover up wrongdoing.
- But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for I bring you good news of great joy for all the people.”
- I do not set aside the grace of God, for if justification comes through the Law, then Christ died for nothing.
- Give to everyone who begs from you, and do not demand the return of what is yours from the one who has taken it.
- I do not say this because I have been in need, for I have learned to be content with whatever I have.
- Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
- For I, the Lord, am your God
and I grasp your right hand.
It is I who say to you,
Do not fear; I will help you. - Therefore, you must also be prepared, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
- Be on your guard that you do not lose what we have worked to accomplish so that you will receive your reward in full.
- I have given you a command. Be strong and brave, do not be afraid nor dismayed. I, the Lord, your God, will be with you wherever you go.
- So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself. Each day has enough troubles of its own.
- The Lord will fulfill his plan for me.
Your kindness, O Lord, endures forever;
do not forsake the work of your hands. - You want something that you cannot have, so you commit murder. And you covet something but cannot obtain it, so you engage in quarrels and fights. You do not have because you do not ask.
- Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they cast lots to divide his garments.
- If we claim that we have fellowship with him
while we continue to live in darkness,
we are lying and do not live in the truth. - Just as you do not know the path of the wind
or how the body is formed in a woman’s womb,
so you do not know the work of God,
the Creator of all.
