The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.The face of the Lord is turned against those who do evil, to erase all memory of them from the earth.
Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the Lord.You shall observe my commandments and obey them. I am the Lord.
And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.Everyone who seeks a prize submits himself to rigorous self-discipline in every respect. They do so to win a perishable crown, while we seek an imperishable one.
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.Whatever you do, do it wholeheartedly, as if you were doing it for the Lord and not for others, since you know that you will receive from the Lord an inheritance as your reward for you are serving the Lord Christ.
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth.If we claim that we have fellowship with him while we continue to live in darkness, we are lying and do not live in the truth.
Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer. However, the face of the Lord is set against those who do evil.
Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil.Wash yourselves and become clean; remove your evil deeds far from my sight. Cease to do evil.
I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.I do not set aside the grace of God, for if justification comes through the Law, then Christ died for nothing.
For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.Does it now appear to you that I am trying to gain the approval of human beings rather than the approval of God? Am I seeking to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever abides in me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. Apart from me you can do nothing.
Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.Because the sentence for committing an evil act is not carried out quickly, people’s hearts are prone to act wickedly.
Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.If you are angry, do not sin. Do not let the sun set on your anger, and do not give the devil an opening.
In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver me.
Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they cast lots to divide his garments.
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.Therefore, while we have the opportunity, let us labor for the good of all, but especially for those members of the household of the faith.
I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.I wait for the Lord in anxious expectation; I place my hope in his word.
Excellent speech becometh not a fool: much less do lying lips a prince.Fine words are not becoming to a fool, and much less are false words to a noble.
He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.He said to them in reply, “Anyone who has two coats must share with the person who has none, and whoever has food must do likewise.”
But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.But to those of you who are listening to me, I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.Then he took bread, and after giving thanks he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which will be given for you. Do this in memory of me.”
Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.Grant justice to the weak and the orphan; defend the rights of the lowly and the poor.
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?Why do you take note of the splinter in your brother’s eye but do not notice the wooden plank in your own eye?
Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we can approach God with confidence and receive from him whatever we ask, because we obey his commandments and do whatever is pleasing to him.
As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.Just as you do not know the path of the wind or how the body is formed in a woman’s womb, so you do not know the work of God, the Creator of all.

Judge not, that ye be not judged.Do not judge, so that you in turn may not be judged.
