- Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?
- Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. - In the multitude of words sin is not lacking,
But he who restrains his lips is wise. - So He said to them, “Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, thus purifying all foods?”
- What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!
- Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines;
Though the labor of the olive may fail,

Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
And there be no herd in the stalls—
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation. - The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
- Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
- For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.
But woe to him who is alone when he falls,
For he has no one to help him up. - And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you.
- Now therefore, let the fear of the Lord be upon you; take care and do it, for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, no partiality, nor taking of bribes.
- Good and upright is the Lord;
Therefore He teaches sinners in the way.
The humble He guides in justice,
And the humble He teaches His way. - Unless the Lord builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;
Unless the Lord guards the city,
The watchman stays awake in vain. - A fool has no delight in understanding,
But in expressing his own heart. - For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
- As in water face reflects face,
So a man’s heart reveals the man. - Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy;
For You render to each one according to his work. - As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us. - But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.
- Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
- For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
- He who covers his sins will not prosper,
But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. - Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin.
- Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
- Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
