| That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” | But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. |
| God detests the prayers of a person who ignores the law. | He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination. |

| I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. | Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. Then you will find favor with both God and people, and you will earn a good reputation. | Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. |
| Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. | Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. |
