- If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.

But He said to them, “Have you never read what David did when he was in need and hungry, he and those with him: how he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the showbread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and also gave some to those who were with him?”
And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.” - So He declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone.
- For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
- This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
- The entrance of Your words gives light;
It gives understanding to the simple. - But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
- For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God.
- And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, as upon us at the beginning.
- As you do not know what is the way of the wind,
Or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child,
So you do not know the works of God who makes everything. - My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord,
Nor detest His correction;
For whom the Lord loves He corrects,
Just as a father the son in whom he delights. - Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.
- Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word.
- And the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence.
- The ransom of a man’s life is his riches,
But the poor does not hear rebuke. - Excellent speech is not becoming to a fool,
Much less lying lips to a prince. - Do not overwork to be rich;
Because of your own understanding, cease! - He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.
- My flesh and my heart fail;
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. - A man has joy by the answer of his mouth,
And a word spoken in due season, how good it is! - But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”
