- We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.
- Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord;

but the word of our God endures forever. - Surely the righteous will never be shaken;
they will be remembered forever. - My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever. - I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.
- Your statutes are my heritage forever;
they are the joy of my heart. - All your words are true;
all your righteous laws are eternal. - The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.
- What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
- And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever.
- I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.
