- My flesh and my heart fail;
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. - Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness. - For with God nothing will be impossible.
- And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.
- Without counsel, plans go awry,
But in the multitude of counselors they are established. - Surely the Lord God does nothing,
Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. - Thus says the Lord of hosts:
‘Execute true justice,
Show mercy and compassion
Everyone to his brother.
Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless,
The alien or the poor.
Let none of you plan evil in his heart
Against his brother.’ - Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.
- A man’s heart plans his way,
But the Lord directs his steps. - Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.
- Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil,
But counselors of peace have joy. - Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines;
Though the labor of the olive may fail,
And the fields yield no food;
Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
And there be no herd in the stalls—
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation. - May He grant you according to your heart’s desire,
And fulfill all your purpose. - This also comes from the Lord of hosts,
Who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance. - Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
- The Lord will perfect that which concerns me;
Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands. - For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
- He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
- Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.
- That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ.
- For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law.
- Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’ ”
- Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.
- So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.
- Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.
- I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.
- For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.
- And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector.
- For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.
- So He said to them, “Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, thus purifying all foods?”
- It is better to trust in the Lord
Than to put confidence in man. - Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.
- And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
- The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed. - Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.
- There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?
- How much better to get wisdom than gold!
And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. - The Lord is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth. - Who “will render to each one according to his deeds”
- The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound. - Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death, and deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day He will rise again.
- But take careful heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, to keep His commandments, to hold fast to Him, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.
- Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.
- Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
- For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
- So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.”
- Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy;
For You render to each one according to his work. - Pleasant words are like a honeycomb,
Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones. - Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.
