- Because I delivered the poor that cried,
and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him.
The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me:
and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy. - And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
- In the multitude of my thoughts within me
thy comforts delight my soul. - I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
- Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
- The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice:
and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him. - The vine is dried up,
and the fig tree languisheth;
the pomegranate tree,
the palm tree also,
and the apple tree,
even all the trees of the field, are withered:
because joy is withered away
from the sons of men. - Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
- His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
- The hope of the righteous shall be gladness:
but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. - The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusted in him, and I am helped:
therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;
and with my song will I praise him. - I called upon the Lord in distress:
the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place. - Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
- A wise son maketh a glad father:
but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother. - And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
- I will be glad and rejoice in thee:
I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. - With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.
- To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
- Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
- Honour the Lord with thy substance,
and with the firstfruits of all thine increase. - It is a faithful saying:
For if we be dead with him,
we shall also live with him. - With my whole heart have I sought thee:
O let me not wander from thy commandments. - Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
- And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
- Let my mouth be filled with thy praise
and with thy honour all the day.
For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous;
with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.But he was wounded for our transgressions,
he was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills,
from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord,
which made heaven and earth.Next verse!With image
