- Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor
and gave him the name above all other names,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth. - Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.
- And then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea. They sang:
“Blessing and honor and glory and power
belong to the one sitting on the throne
and to the Lamb forever and ever.” - So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.

- Whom have I in heaven but you?
I desire you more than anything on earth. - Let the wicked change their ways
and banish the very thought of doing wrong.
Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them.
Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously. - Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.
- Slaves must always obey their masters and do their best to please them. They must not talk back or steal, but must show themselves to be entirely trustworthy and good. Then they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive in every way.

- For the word of God will never fail.
- They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him. They wove thorn branches into a crown and put it on his head, and they placed a reed stick in his right hand as a scepter. Then they knelt before him in mockery and taunted, “Hail! King of the Jews!”
- A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions.
The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences. - As for me, I look to the Lord for help.
I wait confidently for God to save me,
and my God will certainly hear me. - For,
There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. - From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”
- How beautiful on the mountains
are the feet of the messenger who brings good news,
the good news of peace and salvation,
the news that the God of Israel reigns! - But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
- God blesses those whose hearts are pure,
for they will see God.
