Fear God and keep His commandments,
For this is man’s all. - For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
- My soul, wait silently for God alone,
For my expectation is from Him. - Therefore I will look to the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
My God will hear me. - For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
- Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.
- Blessed be the Lord,
Who daily loads us with benefits,
The God of our salvation! Selah - And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors. - Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God. - In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
- Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
- Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
