Bible Verses about 'Gain'
- For to me, living is Christ and dying is gain.
- Of course, there is great gain in godliness combined with contentment.
- For what will it profit them to gain the whole world and forfeit their life?
- Turn my heart to your decrees,
and not to selfish gain. - So teach us to count our days
that we may gain a wise heart. - For what will it profit them if they gain the whole world but forfeit their life? Or what will they give in return for their life?
- If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
- The wicked earn no real gain,
but those who sow righteousness get a true reward. - The lover of money will not be satisfied with money; nor the lover of wealth, with gain. This also is vanity.
- When goods increase, those who eat them increase; and what gain has their owner but to see them with his eyes?
- Do not wear yourself out to get rich;
be wise enough to desist. - A person's pride will bring humiliation,
but one who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor. - Happy are those who find wisdom,
and those who get understanding. - Better is a little with righteousness
than large income with injustice. - Get wisdom; get insight: do not forget, nor turn away
from the words of my mouth. - I will make your offspring as numerous as the stars of heaven, and will give to your offspring all these lands; and all the nations of the earth shall gain blessing for themselves through your offspring, because Abraham obeyed my voice and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
- But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength,
they shall mount up with wings like eagles,
they shall run and not be weary,
they shall walk and not faint. - Do not let loyalty and faithfulness forsake you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor and good repute
in the sight of God and of people. - For not by their own sword did they win the land,
nor did their own arm give them victory;
but your right hand, and your arm,
and the light of your countenance,
for you delighted in them. - Am I now seeking human approval, or God's approval? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still pleasing people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
