Bible Verses about 'Get up'
- Wisdom is supreme.
Get wisdom.
Yes, though it costs all your possessions, get understanding. - Get wisdom.
Get understanding.
Don’t forget, and don’t deviate from the words of my mouth. - How much better it is to get wisdom than gold!
Yes, to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. - Now why do you wait? Arise, be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
- Don’t weary yourself to be rich.
In your wisdom, show restraint. - Hatred stirs up strife,
but love covers all wrongs. - Arise, Yahweh!
God, lift up your hand!
Don’t forget the helpless. - He heals the broken in heart,
and binds up their wounds. - For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up.
- He led them out as far as Bethany, and he lifted up his hands and blessed them. While he blessed them, he withdrew from them and was carried up into heaven.
- A gentle answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger. - The ransom of a man’s life is his riches,
but the poor hear no threats. - When I said, “My foot is slipping!”
Your loving kindness, Yahweh, held me up. - When he had said these things, as they were looking, he was taken up, and a cloud received him out of their sight.
- Yahweh, you have searched me,
and you know me.
You know my sitting down and my rising up.
You perceive my thoughts from afar. - For they didn’t get the land in possession by their own sword,
neither did their own arm save them;
but your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face,
because you were favorable to them. - Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up.
- Wicked people earn deceitful wages,
but one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward. - Therefore, when you do merciful deeds, don’t sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get glory from men. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.
- He said to all, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”
- The vine has dried up, and the fig tree withered—
the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree,
even all of the trees of the field are withered;
for joy has withered away from the sons of men. - When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
- Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, to be building him up.
- A cheerful heart makes good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. - So then the Lord, after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.

They will mount up with wings like eagles.
They will run, and not be weary.
They will walk, and not faint. - Yahweh makes poor and makes rich.
He brings low, he also lifts up. - I will lift up my eyes to the hills.
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from Yahweh,
who made heaven and earth. - He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?
