Bible Verses about 'Get up'
- The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom,
and whatever you get, get insight. - Get wisdom; get insight;
do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth. - How much better to get wisdom than gold!
To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. - And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.
- So teach us to number our days

- The vine dries up;
the fig tree languishes.
Pomegranate, palm, and apple,
all the trees of the field are dried up,
and gladness dries up
from the children of man. - And he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them. While he blessed them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven.
- A soft answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger. - When I thought, “My foot slips,”
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. - The ransom of a man's life is his wealth,
but a poor man hears no threat. - O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar. - And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.
- Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.
- The wicked earns deceptive wages,
but one who sows righteousness gets a sure reward. - When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
- And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
- And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”
- A joyful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. - So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
- God, having raised up his servant, sent him to you first, to bless you by turning every one of you from your wickedness.
- He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
he is a shield to those who walk in integrity. - Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
- Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
- Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
- But they who wait for the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint. - And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing over them. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd. And they all ate and were satisfied. And what was left over was picked up, twelve baskets of broken pieces.
- And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
- I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
- Blessed is the one who finds wisdom,
and the one who gets understanding. - The Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down;
the Lord loves the righteous. - But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.
- Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.
- And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”
- Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.
- Whoever gets sense loves his own soul;
he who keeps understanding will discover good. - Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it. - Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.
- Whoever brings blessing will be enriched,
and one who waters will himself be watered. - As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions.
- Oh, how abundant is your goodness,
which you have stored up for those who fear you
and worked for those who take refuge in you,
in the sight of the children of mankind! - Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands. - And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
