Bible Verses about 'Get up'
- How much better it is to get wisdom than gold!
And to get understanding is to be chosen above silver. - Now why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins by calling on His name.

They will walk and not become weary. - Do not weary yourself to gain wealth;
Stop dwelling on it. - Hatred stirs up strife,
But love covers all offenses. - But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap, and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge people into ruin and destruction.
- Arise, Lord; God, lift up Your hand.
Do not forget the humble. - He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their wounds. - For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up!
- And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. While He was blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven.
- And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were watching, and a cloud took Him up, out of their sight.
- A gentle answer turns away wrath,
But a harsh word stirs up anger. - The vine has dried up
And the fig tree has withered;
The pomegranate, the palm also, and the apple tree,
All the trees of the field have dried up.
Indeed, joy has dried up
From the sons of mankind. - Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him;
Do not get upset because of one who is successful in his way,
Because of the person who carries out wicked schemes. - The ransom of a person’s life is his wealth,
But the poor hears no rebuke. - A wicked person earns deceptive wages,
But one who sows righteousness gets a true reward. - Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.
- A joyful heart is good medicine,
But a broken spirit dries up the bones. - And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”
- So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
- I know how to get along with little, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need.
- God raised up His Servant for you first, and sent Him to bless you by turning every one of you from your wicked ways.
- Then Peter came up and said to Him, “Lord, how many times shall my brother sin against me and I still forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy-seven times.”
- He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk in integrity. - Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal.
- But now having been freed from sin and enslaved to God, you derive your benefit, resulting in sanctification, and the outcome, eternal life.
- Therefore, encourage one another and build one another up, just as you also are doing.
- Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
- And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and, looking up to heaven, He blessed them and broke them, and gave them to the disciples again and again, to serve the crowd. And they all ate and were satisfied; and the broken pieces which they had left over were picked up, twelve baskets full.
- So teach us to number our days,
That we may present to You a heart of wisdom. - Blessed is a person who finds wisdom,
And one who obtains understanding. - If I should say, “My foot has slipped,”
Your faithfulness, Lord, will support me. - The Lord opens the eyes of those who are blind;
The Lord raises up those who are bowed down;
The Lord loves the righteous. - Let’s not become discouraged in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not become weary.
- But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, that is, Christ.
- And He summoned the crowd together with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.”
- One who gets wisdom loves his own soul;
One who keeps understanding will find good. - Train up a child in the way he should go,
Even when he grows older he will not abandon it. - But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.
- Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification.
- Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. So they do it to obtain a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.
- A generous person will be prosperous,
And one who gives others plenty of water will himself be given plenty. - Now accept the one who is weak in faith, but not to have quarrels over opinions.
- How great is Your goodness,
Which You have stored up for those who fear You,
Which You have performed for those who take refuge in You,
Before the sons of mankind! - Because Your favor is better than life,
My lips will praise You.
So I will bless You as long as I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name. - Let me hear Your faithfulness in the morning,
For I trust in You;
Teach me the way in which I should walk;
For to You I lift up my soul.
