Bible Verses about 'Get up'
- Wisdom is the principal thing;
Therefore get wisdom.
And in all your getting, get understanding. - Get wisdom! Get understanding!
Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. - How much better to get wisdom than gold!
And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. - And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

For he has no one to help him up. - And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and carried up into heaven.

But a harsh word stirs up anger. - If I say, “My foot slips,”
Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up. - The ransom of a man’s life is his riches,
But the poor does not hear rebuke. - O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off. - Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
- The wicked man does deceptive work,
But he who sows righteousness will have a sure reward. - So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
- The vine has dried up,
And the fig tree has withered;
The pomegranate tree,
The palm tree also,
And the apple tree—
All the trees of the field are withered;
Surely joy has withered away from the sons of men. - Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”
- So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
- And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
- To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.
- He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk uprightly. - Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.
- Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
- But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.
- Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude. So they all ate and were filled, and twelve baskets of the leftover fragments were taken up by them.
- But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint. - The Lord makes poor and makes rich;
He brings low and lifts up. - And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.
- I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth. - So teach us to number our days,
That we may gain a heart of wisdom. - He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
- Happy is the man who finds wisdom,
And the man who gains understanding. - Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”
Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.” - But, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ.
- But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.
- And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
- He who gets wisdom loves his own soul;
He who keeps understanding will find good. - When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.”
- Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it. - But You, O Lord, are a shield for me,
My glory and the One who lifts up my head. - And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”
- Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification.
- And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown.
- The generous soul will be made rich,
And he who waters will also be watered himself. - A merry heart does good, like medicine,
But a broken spirit dries the bones. - Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things.
- Oh, how great is Your goodness,
Which You have laid up for those who fear You,
Which You have prepared for those who trust in You
In the presence of the sons of men! - Because Your lovingkindness is better than life,
My lips shall praise You.
Thus I will bless You while I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name.
