- What then can we say in response to all this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

The Father of orphans and the defender of widows:
such is God in his holy dwelling place. - Cure the sick who are there, and say, ‘The kingdom of God has come unto you.’
- Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercy and the God of all consolation. He consoles us in all our afflictions and thereby enables us to console others in their tribulations, offering them the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God.
- Indeed, creation itself eagerly awaits the revelation of the children of God.
- But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Therefore, brethren, I implore you by the mercies of God to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice that is holy and acceptable to God—a spiritual act of worship.

- Some trust in chariots, and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord, our God. - I, the Lord, am your God. You must obey my laws and be careful to observe my ordinances. Keep holy my Sabbaths as a sign between me and you so that you will know that I am the Lord, your God.

I will sing praise to my God while I have life. - And take the helmet of salvation as well as the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- Even should my heart and my flesh fail,
God is the rock of my heart
and my portion forever. - Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.
- While Peter was thus imprisoned, the Church prayed fervently to God for him.
- Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
the people whom he has chosen as his heritage. - We also know
that the Son of God has come
and given us understanding
so that we can know the one who is true.
And we are in the one who is true,
since we are in his Son Jesus Christ.
He is the true God and eternal life.
