- I have been the Lord your God
ever since I brought you out of Egypt.
You must acknowledge no God but me,
for there is no other savior. - God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.
- Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.
- And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else.
- Glory to God in highest heaven,
and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased. - I wait quietly before God,
for my victory comes from him. - Why am I discouraged?
Why is my heart so sad?
I will put my hope in God!
I will praise him again—
my Savior and my God! - That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.
- Now all glory to God our Father forever and ever! Amen.

- Yes, God will bless us,
and people all over the world will fear him. - God is our refuge and strength,
always ready to help in times of trouble. - So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world.
- Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.
- As the deer longs for streams of water,
so I long for you, O God. - You light a lamp for me.
The Lord, my God, lights up my darkness. - O God, you are my God;
I earnestly search for you.
My soul thirsts for you;
my whole body longs for you
in this parched and weary land
where there is no water. - Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.
- I take joy in doing your will, my God,
for your instructions are written on my heart. - Create in me a clean heart, O God.
Renew a loyal spirit within me.
