Chinese (traditional)- Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”
- Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
- Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.
- Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
- Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
- So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
- Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good?
- And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise.
- For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.
- Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?
- Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. - And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
- For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
- I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing.” - Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up.
- Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever. - Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. - But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.
- For he satisfies the thirsty
and fills the hungry with good things. - If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
- Then you will understand what is right and just
and fair—every good path. - I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong— that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.
- How good and pleasant it is
when God’s people live together in unity! - But test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil.
- The Lord is good,
a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him.
A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.Next verse!With image
