Bible Verses about 'Goodness'
- I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living. - For the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth.
- Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever. - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
- For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.
- How abundant are the good things
that you have stored up for those who fear you,
that you bestow in the sight of all,
on those who take refuge in you. - Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love,
for they are from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth
and my rebellious ways;
according to your love remember me,
for you, Lord, are good. - His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
- For he satisfies the thirsty
and fills the hungry with good things. - The Lord loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of his unfailing love. - Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
- Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
- I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing.” - The Lord is good,
a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him. - Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
- The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and faithful in all he does. - Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
- “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive.
- And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
- Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
- Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. - What a person desires is unfailing love;
better to be poor than a liar. - Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
- Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good?
- Turn from evil and do good;
seek peace and pursue it.
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us nor forsake us. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.Next verse!With image
