Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Gracious'
- The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love. - For the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn his face from you if you return to him.
- But in your great mercy you did not put an end to them or abandon them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.
- The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace. - Words from the mouth of the wise are gracious,
but fools are consumed by their own lips. - Rend your heart
and not your garments.
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and abounding in love,
and he relents from sending calamity. - Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for him! - Gracious words are a honeycomb,
sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. - The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and faithful in all he does. - Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
- Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.
- Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God;
may your good Spirit
lead me on level ground. - Take words with you
and return to the Lord.
Say to him:
“Forgive all our sins
and receive us graciously,
that we may offer the fruit of our lips.” - He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
- Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
- Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely,
who conduct their affairs with justice. - Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming.
- But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!
- For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him.
Who is he, this King of glory?
The Lord Almighty—
he is the King of glory. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.Next verse!With image
