- Thus you could understand that the Lord, your God, was disciplining you, just like a father disciplines his son.
- I will give you a new heart and place a new spirit within you. I will remove from your body a heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh in its place.
- Examine me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and understand my thoughts.
See if I follow an evil way,
and guide me on the way to eternity. - Do not let your hearts be troubled.

rather than relying on your own intelligence.
In everything you do, acknowledge him,
and he will see that your paths are straight. - May he give you your heart’s desire
and grant you success in all your plans. - You shall not hate your brother in your heart, nor shall you rebuke your brother in any way, lest you bear sin because of him. You shall not seek vengeance nor bear a grudge against the children of your people. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.
- To do your will, O God, is my delight;
your law is in my heart. - And so now, O Israel, what does the Lord, your God, require of you but to fear the Lord, your God, to walk in all of his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord, your God, with all your heart and all your soul, and to observe the commandments and the statutes that I am giving you today for your own good.
- I further pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know the hope to which he has called you, how rich and glorious is his inheritance in the saints.
- You shall keep these things that I command you today in your heart. Teach them to your children. You shall talk of them when you are sitting in your home, and when you are walking along the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up.

- Rend your hearts and not your garments,
and turn back to the Lord, your God.
For he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, rich in kindness,
and always prepared to relent from punishing. - Teach me your ways, O Lord,
so that I may walk in your truth;
let me worship your name
with an undivided heart. - Your statutes are my everlasting heritage;
they are the very joy of my heart. - I will praise you in sincerity of heart
as I ponder your righteous judgments. - The upright are guarded by their integrity;
the treacherous are destroyed by their own duplicity.
