- Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding,
but one who has a hasty temper exalts folly. - Wealth hastily gotten will dwindle,
but those who gather little by little will increase it. - In reply he said to them, “Whoever has two coats must share with anyone who has none; and whoever has food must do likewise.”
- Arise, shine; for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. - Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
- No one who denies the Son has the Father; everyone who confesses the Son has the Father also.
- As a father has compassion for his children,
so the Lord has compassion for those who fear him. - So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.
- No one has ever seen God. It is God the only Son, who is close to the Father's heart, who has made him known.
- Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.
- So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!
- He has made everything suitable for its time; moreover he has put a sense of past and future into their minds, yet they cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
- And hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.
- But, as it is written,
“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the human heart conceived,
what God has prepared for those who love him” - There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear; for fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not reached perfection in love.
- Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same intention (for whoever has suffered in the flesh has finished with sin).
- Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
- Blessed is anyone who endures temptation. Such a one has stood the test and will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
- This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it. - No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for one's friends.
- But Jesus has now obtained a more excellent ministry, and to that degree he is the mediator of a better covenant, which has been enacted through better promises.
- But he knows the way that I take;
when he has tested me, I shall come out like gold.
My foot has held fast to his steps;
I have kept his way and have not turned aside. - God is not a human being, that he should lie,
or a mortal, that he should change his mind.
Has he promised, and will he not do it?
Has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? - Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”
- Cure the sick who are there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are sanctified.Therefore you have no excuse, whoever you are, when you judge others; for in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, are doing the very same things. Yours, O Lord, are the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty; for all that is in the heavens and on the earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.Next verse!With image
