- The Lord will rescue his servants;
no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned. - May God bless us still,
so that all the ends of the earth will fear him. - And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
- As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”
- The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
- I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.” - Blessed are those who keep his statutes
and seek him with all their heart. - Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. - So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him.
- Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.
- Every word of God is flawless;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. - And, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.
- Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
- For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him.
- This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.
- Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.
- The Lord is good,
a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him. - The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them.
- A gift opens the way
and ushers the giver into the presence of the great. - But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love. - As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him. - What is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them? - Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted. - Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
- No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
