- As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”
- The Lord will rescue his servants;
no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned. - I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.” - May God bless us still,
so that all the ends of the earth will fear him. - Blessed are those who keep his statutes
and seek him with all their heart. - For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him.
- The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
- Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.
- Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. - Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”
- So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him.
- Every word of God is flawless;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. - I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
- And, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.
- This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.
- The Lord is good,
a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him. - No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
- Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.
- Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
- But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love. - Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted. - As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him. - Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
- After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
- While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
But when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost. They cried out, because they all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.Next verse!With image
